PROGRAM AIMS Early Childhood is a vital time in life when the foundations for learning and development are laid down. At Hawkesbury River Child Care, we aim to provide a safe, caring and secure environment in which children are provided with age appropriate curriculum. Our varied activity programs offer engaging, interesting and interactive activities which provide and encourage social interaction, self-esteem and mutual respect for others. We encourage children to express originality and creativity through the use of self-expressive materials, imaginative play and creative thought. Daily activity programs aim to provide a balance of active and passive activities, individual and group time, structured and free play opportunities, utilising both indoor and outdoor environments (weather permitting). Individual program plans are developed and monitored by our staff for each child in our care. We encourage parents to ask questions, make recommendations, offer suggestions or criticisms and be involved in the program affecting your child. At Hawkesbury River Child Care, we encourage children to grow into sensitive, caring members of their community. We actively foster links between the Centre and Brooklyn Public School and other community organisations. We welcome parent and community participation and feedback, and we encourage and support our staff to continually update their skills and knowledge in order to excel in their chosen profession. |
